When I first started doing implementations, they sounded much like you first mention. Huge scope, grandiose visions of the future and implementation took longer than expected. I quickly learned that most companies actually needed things to be removed and started to do "lean salesforce" implementations, helping to hide and remove most of the application that the business wouldn't use so that they could efficiently use the pieces that they did need. Their main issue is that this is appearing as 'new' revenue in SFD, whereas the contact is actually associated to an account that they are already doing business with. I'd be very grateful for any insights you could provide on this?
